These pictures by photographer Jan Vels show young women presenting themselves nude in public: in the pedestrian zone of a big city, in a pizzeria, among the spectators at a marathon race, strolling through a wintry landscape, or sitting in a car. Each of these locations and situations is a place where ordinary citizens wouldn't necessarily expect to encounter a beautiful nude woman. Jan Vels: "The most exciting aspect of my photographic actions are the incalculable responses of the audience when we suddenly appear in public with a nude girl. I just want to stand up for individual freedom and the joy of living."
