Dahmane (1959) was born in Paris from a father painter and a mother poetess.
In 1974 at the age of fifteen a friend of his parents who was a photographer, gave him his first camera and showed him how to develop and print in black and white.

In 1977 after Dahmane graduated from school, he decided to devote himself to photography and worked as a fashion photographer's assistant.
And in 1978 at the age of nineteen his first reportage on the plight of zoo animals was published in Le Photographe (France).

From 1979 till 1982 Dahmane worked for various model agencies such as Karin Models, Paris Planning, etcetera.
His first nudes were published in Photo (France). From 1979 till now Dahmane photos are published in different magazines and he had exhibitions in France, Germany and America. Dahmane has also published a variety of books:

1984 Publication of a special issue of a book magazine called Bookstop devoted to his first nudes
1988 Publication of the book Promenade Erotique à Paris
1989 Publication of a book magazine called L’album inconvenant d’une jeune fille à la mode (France)
1990 Publication of the Taschen book Dahmane
1994 Publication of the book Dressed Nudes (Japan)
1996 Publication of the first book Porn Art (France).
1998 Publication of the book porn Art 2 (France). Exhibition at Les Larmes d’Eros (Paris)
2000 Publication of another book also titled Dressed Nudes (France and Germany)
2003 Publication of the book Erotic Sessions (Skylight and La Musardine).
2005 Publication of Nude Addict 1 and 2, two portfolios of photomontages in limited edition (ed. Chez Higgins, Paris).
2006 Publication of Nude Mood and Pop Nudes, two portfolios of photomontages in limited edition (ed. Chez Higgins, Paris).
