Matt Blum
Matt Blum is a freelance photographer working in Minneapolis, New York, and in various locations around the globe.
"I began the NU project looking to photograph normal people with no modeling experience and in photographing them capture little bits of pure, undistorted humanity. The subjects wore little to no makeup, there was no stylist, no producer, no agenda, no props, no pressure, and no false sexuality. It was all about who these women were as people and not as symbols. Their stories are reflected in their bodies, in their scars, their hair, and their expressions. They have trusted me to tell their stories."
Since undertaking the NU project, Matt has moved into a studio which allowed him to further develop his photography of the human body and spirit.
